STATISTICS MINOR

A statistics minor can be obtained by completing 18 hours of mathematical science courses including 12 hours of STA courses (except for 349), and 6 hours selected from any additional STA courses, any CSC courses (except for 105, 305, 306, or 349), or any calculus courses.

Math majors can get a Statistics minor by taking two of STA 370, 520, or 521 (which count towards their major), and one additional STA course, since STA 270 is required.

Math Teaching majors would need to take only two additional STA courses to get a STA minor.

Computer Science (general) majors can get a Statistics minor if they take three additional STA courses, since they are required to take STA 270.

Computer Science (technology) majors would need to take four STA courses.  STA 270, 271 and 575 are excellent courses for CSC majors.
